What is DanceFitness?

DanceFitness is a danced based aerobics programme designed by Hiria Te Rangi, it is a dance fitness programme that combines the popular music of today with dance movement in an easy to learn, fun exercise programme that increases self confidence, coordination and body awareness while building and strengthening major muscle groups.

Whats the difference between DanceFitness and other dance exercise programmes?

DanceFitness will only ever have a maximum of 6 different “moves” per routine. This is so that the routines
are easy to learn and recall. Also the instructor will use both verbal and visual cues. It is well
known that there are three different types of learners, those that learn better, visually, verbally or
kinetically, we try to use all three so that everyone can learn in a way suited to them.

Who should use DanceFitness?

DanceFitness, is designed specifically for new mums, those with injuries, the older and wiser generation  or maybe its been awhile and you need something to "get back into it". We place a large emphasis on Fun! Because if it isnt fun, why would you do it?
 
We also have participants that are mobility and hearing impaired. This is made possible due to our instructors using both visual and verbal cueing as well as giving low impact options as well as low speed options.
